For GMW2024 in Bahrain, the Bahrain Bayan School organised a variety of activities tailored to the different age groups at their school. For Grades 1-2, a supermarket role-play center was set up, allowing students to practice shopping and budgeting skills. In Grades 3-4, students engaged in classroom tasks designed to help them develop the knowledge and skills needed to manage their personal finances. To deepen their understanding of budgeting, Grade 5 planned a trip within a set budget. Meanwhile, Grade 6 took part in financial awareness classes during their Advisory lessons.

The ila Bank, a digital and mobile-only banking entity, gave a lecture on banking services to Grade 7. Grade 8 students visited the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance, where they experienced how stock deals are conducted in a simulated trading room. Grade 9 focused on cybersecurity through a lecture about protecting their online finances. Grade 10 visited the Bahrain Bourse, gaining valuable practical insights into the financial sector. Students found this trip particularly useful as they gathered real-world knowledge about financial markets.

Savii hosted Bahrain FinFEST, which coincided with Bahrain Youth Day. In line with this year’s GMW theme, Savii brought together local organisations, charities and initiatives to educate youth on the environmental, societal and financial benefits of the circular economy, reducing food waste through better budgeting and on how small changes in lifestyle and purchasing decisions can make a large impact on one's pocket and the world around. Savii created a marketplace of local (primarily youth-owned) vendors who have built businesses around recycling/upcycling products and manufacturing and selling sustainable products. Savii also hosted a book swap to promote the money-saving and environmental benefits of sharing community schemes. Food trucks and live music were also present during the FinFEST. The interactive games section was oversubscribed with teams competing throughout the evening to test their personal finance knowledge with Visa Financial Soccer, Kahoot and Jeopardy games. Young attendees could select their own traditional clay Hassala pot to start their savings journey and paint it with their own custom design.

The Ministry of Social Development and the Financial Organisation for Children and Youth lead the Global Money Week (15th -21st March 2014) campaign in Bahrain. Sunday, the 16th March 2014, was named ‘Global Money Day’, and fun and educational activities were organised across the country in order to raise the financial awareness of Bahraini youth and children. Banks and financial institutions played a central role in these activities as there was a consensus amongst the participating organisations that children and youth's financial education would play a crucial role in mitigating potential future financial crises.

“Sharifa Al Awadi” Club organised a creative activity with a financial theme on the coast of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Children from a host of youth clubs had fun creating sand sculptures inspired by the lessons that they had learnt about the importance of saving. Their artwork was displayed to the public along Algazayer Beach and they provided a light-hearted atmosphere for friends and family to discuss their financial tips and tricks.

The Children and Youth Club encouraged young people to creatively express why they think they should save money by entering their drawings and handcrafts into the Club’s financial themed creative contest. The entries were then published in national newspapers, magazines and by the Ministry of Social Development via social media.
